The Nature of Reiki Symbols
The Reik first degree opens the channel. The Reiki second degree provides you with access to Reiki symbols to focus and direct Reiki energy with greater precision, power, and intention. Reiki symbols allow you to do everything you can do with Reiki, but faster. For the same reason, Reiki symbols cannot do anything Reiki cannot do.
Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Reiki Symbols
In Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, there are four symbols. You learn three symbols at Reiki degree two training. These symbols can be used to rebalance energy blocks at the physical, emotional, and mind bodies.
- Reiki First Symbol (Power Symbol): The primary tool for working directly on physical ailments and clearing environmental energy. Call the energy into the physical plane. Amplify the power of Reiki in a specific location.
- Reiki Second Symbol (Emotional Symbol): Rebalancing the emotional field. Facilitating forgiveness and mental clarity. Releasing deep-seated emotional traumas, habits, and mental patterns.
- Reiki Third Symbol (Mind Symbol or Distant Symbol): Connects heaven and earth. Traditionally used to transcend the classical limits of space and time. Can be used to access your mental abilities and attract future moments.
- Reiki Master Symbol : Used in Reiki attunement process.
Activating and Using Reiki Symbols
Reiki healers usually use the symbols as part of the in-person or distant healing sessions. Reiki symbols can be used if you are guided by your intuition or if you are aware of the nature of the energy block already.
Just like Reiki can be directed with intention, Reiki symbols can also be called-upon or activated with intention. There are many ways to express your intention.
- Using the name or an alias of the symbol
- Chanting mantra related to the symbol
- Visualizing the representation of the symbol
- Hand gestures based on the representation of the symbol
Reiki symbols have a physical form as a crystallined Reiki. Reiki symbols are not the visual representation or the mantra or the name or any of the aliases that are used to activate it. A symbol exists at a moment creation as a structured crystalline energy and dissipates back to the environment unless it is directed. Since the Symbols are activated by the intention, you are free to use alternative names or aliases and alternative visual representations.
